Addiction Supportive Housing (ASH)

ASH is a rent subsidy and case management program for men and women with a history of substance abuse problems and who are at risk of homelessness in the City of Greater Sudbury. We are a client centred program responsive to their unique needs. To qualify for ASH, you must be an individual, male or female, 18 years of age or older. There must be a history of substantial substance abuse and there must be a completed addiction treatment program. Individuals must be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. They must require support in the form of life skills to successfully maintain tenancy. The person has to demonstrate a willingness to make changes in their substance use. They must also be willing to be involved in case management and meet weekly with an ASH case manager. The person must also have a legitimate income, including Ontario Works and or Ontario Disability Support Program. Clients must be referred by another agency. Self referrals will not be accepted.
